Born With a Love of Technology

One of the earliest memories I have is of my Super Nintendo being taken away from some forgotten offense when I was about 5 or 6. The console was unplugged and secured inside the entertainment center, my parents trusting in my naivete of how to hook it back up as the bar on my entertainment prison. I woke up early one day with a plan to figure out how to hook it up and enjoyed my morning playing games upon my success (until mom and dad woke up, that is). I share this memory because it displays my determination and love of technology and gaming. Gaming introduced me to coding, and coding showed me a world where I could make a profession out of a passion. As I grew older, I widened my skillsets to include web design, and have commitmetted to learn new tools and tricks of the trade. Now, with 3+ years experience, a strong network of like minded individuals, and an Associates of Applied Science in Web Design, I'm ready to make a full career of my passion for people and companies just like you.

I started my web design journey in high school, mimicking websites I saw companies make for their video games and player forums to create my own fan websites to connect with other players around the world. This was before online play was introduced to the gaming industry, and most videogame communities were connected through newsletters, magazines, and home-made websites. As I've grown my skills and understanding, I still look to gaming websites for fun, interactive web design that will incorporate the latest standards and push some boundaries while doing it. These are sites like eveonline.com and pearlabyss.com. Both websites show fantastic web design that is engaging, attention grabbing, and beautiful.
